Children Should See Both Parents During Lockdown
Published on 22 Apr
It appears that separated couples may be taking advantage of the coronavirus lockdown to prevent their ex-partners from seeing their children.
The Family Courts are taking a dim view of this and say that, as long as the “other” household is not in isolation, children under there age of 18 should be allowed to continue visitation.
There is an expectation of a sensible discussion between the parents and an assumption that the child will not be put at risk of exposure to Covid-19.
Ignoring a court order relating to a child might result in legal action, the courts have warned.
