Legal Paternity Tests

Complement Genomics Ltd trading as dadcheck® is recognised by the Ministry of Justice as a body that may carry out parentage tests directed by the civil courts.

This means our DNA tests can be used for such purposes as Birth Certificate amendments, the Courts, CSA/CMS amongst other legal reasons. Please ensure you order the right type of test as our tests for Personal Information cannot be used for these purposes.

Our team of highly skilled and qualified scientists adhere to strict laboratory requirements of internationally recognised quality standard, ISO 17025 (an accreditation for testing and calibration laboratories).

We have been assisting families with such applications for over 15 years and are able to work both UK nationwide and worldwide using our DHL Express Worldwide courier account for fast and efficient shipments overseas.

  • Step 1

Contact us either online or by telephone to arrange for a personalised quotation depending on your own testing requirements.

  • Step 2

We just need to take a minimum £200 deposit at the time of ordering to cover the cost of the kit preparation and any sample collection appointments required. The residual balance must be paid in full before we can release the result.

  • Step 3

Provide us with the full names and dates of birth of all test participants and the details of where each sample is to be collected.

Important information regarding sample collections:

We have a large network of registered sample collectors who can visit the donor in the comfort of their own home on a day and at a time that fits with them. Fees shall apply for this service and are entirely dependent on the time and travel for the sampler to reach the venue. Please provide us with the address you would like the sample collected from.If you live locally or do not mind travelling (our postal code is DH7 0EX), then you are more than welcome to attend our offices to have your samples taken by a member of our team free of charge.

  • Step 4

We will liaise with the donors as required for their sample collection appointments.

  • Step 5

From the date that we receive ALL samples for processing into the laboratory we quote approximately 5-7 working days for delivery of DNA test results.

The DNA test report will be sent to the ordering party, as well as all test donors over the age of 16 years and the party who signs for Parental Responsibility for the child if they are under 16 years.
